Through the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program, candidates can obtain a Temporary Work Permit to establish or purchase a business in Saskatchewan and settle there. After successfully operating the business for six months, candidates may apply for provincial nomination and then Canadian permanent resident status.
To be eligible for this entrepreneur stream, applicants must meet specific requirements. However, just meeting the minimum criteria doesn't guarantee an Invitation to Apply. Each applicant is evaluated using a point-based system, with a maximum score of 160 points. Factors considered include age, education, investment amount, and business plan.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) regularly holds draws, inviting candidates who score above or equal to the draw's threshold to apply.
It's important to know that the Entrepreneur Stream isn't connected to the Express Entry Program.
During periodic draws, known as EOI Selections, Saskatchewan immigration authorities invite top-ranking candidates from the EOI pool.
