This TOEFL has 4 sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Each of
these sections consists of lessons covering specific skills, topics, and question types.
The lessons all contain exercises with practice questions.
Apart from the required 12-day waiting period between tests, there are no
official restrictions on the number of times a student can take the TOEFL exam.

- The TOEFL iBT test is conducted online via the internet and is available at
testing sites worldwide. It assesses candidates' reading, writing, speaking,
and listening abilities and is offered 50 times a year.
- Previously, the TOEFL PBT test, a paper-and-pencil exam, evaluated candidates'
reading, writing, grammar, and listening skills. This test has been discontinued
due to internet testing availability.
- The updated TOEFL paper-delivered Test now analyzes candidates' writing, reading,
and listening skills. However, speaking skills cannot be assessed due to limitations
in capturing spoken responses. The TOEFL paper-delivered test has resumed, taking COVID
restrictions into account.
- ETS has also introduced TOEFL at Home, allowing candidates to take the TOEFL iBT test from
the safety of their homes, provided they have the necessary requirements.
- System requirements and a conducive environment for the entire duration of the test.
